Carlos Loyola’s vibrancy is evident in his contributions to the art communities in Ottawa, Vancouver, Montreal, and other cities across the country. The extensive media coverage lauding his talents as a dancer further testifies to his dynamism.
He has worked as the artistic director for Ottawa’s Multicultural Folk Art Festival; danced with Rachel Wates in “Bella” for the Theater Ballet of Canada; and toured with the Ottawa Ballet as part of Ruud’s Trio “Mobile” across 19 cities in Ontario, including Belleville, Kingston, Markham, and Ottawa, where he performed at the Canadian Museum of Civilization.
His tango performances are popular in Vancouver. Among other events Carlos has perform with the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra “Hot Tango” in 1999, which featured works by Astor Piazzolla and Hector Villa-Lobos, Carlos and his tango partner stunned their audiences with their sizzling dance routines. He continues to perform regularly around the Vancouver area.
